Musique Concrète:

• Recorded sounds that are played back as part of amusical performance are referred to as musique concrète.
• These sounds can be manipulated, fragmented, sped up, slowed down, or played back exactly as they would normally sound. In addition, synthesizers and computers can both sample, or record, other sounds and reproduce them at any pitch.
